He gives us hope and inspiration to change our brains and improve our relationships to create health and wellbeing. Dr. McGonigal explains the neuroscience of changing our behavior and how it impacts our motivation. She encourages us to start with self-awareness, be aware of the influence of others. Encourages us to practice, practice, practice; especially things like self-compassion, self-forgiveness, and self-acceptance. Informs us that we are trainable and gives us direction on how to how to move beyond some of the common pitfalls to changing our behavior. She instructs at Stanford University.
